Design of miniaturize flexible wideband frequency selective surface for electromagnetic shielding application

In this paper, a flexible, ultra-thin, miniaturized broadband frequency selective surface (FSS) is demonstrated for wideband electromagnetic shielding application. The unit cell of the proposed FSS structure consists cross dipoles loaded with metallic circular strip. has an extremely low profile thickness 0.0009?o and size 0.045?o×0.045?o. This provides more than 20 dB from 1.1 to 2.6 GHz region. Besides wide stopband, acts as transparent window in n78 band which can be used 5G communication purpose. Moreover, by comprehending interaction between incident wave cell, conceptual equivalent circuit model developed that helps interpret mechanism miniaturization well response structure. We also compared other recently reported structures observed 55% improvement reduction several flexible Furthermore, exhibits attenuation over region fractional bandwidth 111%. excellent resonant stability achieved regards different polarization angle up 60o.
